I was exposed to design principles early in my studies in qualitative research and psychology at the University of Toronto. I found myself carefully crafting my research papers and often challenged myself to shed a new and unconventional perspective on popularized topics. I enjoyed the process of finding gaps in my hypotheses and often asked for critical feedback from others, iterating on my work. What I did not know at the time was that my ability to problem solve and think analytically built a solid foundation for my career as a UX designer. Once identified UX as what I liked and wanted to pursue, opportunities came in the right place at the right time. Currently, I reside in San Francisco, designing software for cancer doctors in the healthcare tech space.
